Iwi Kūpuna

March 7, 2026 dedication of the final resting place of iwi kūpuna of the area of Pā‘ula‘ula. ‘Ahahui Kaumuali‘i, in its capacity as a steward of Pā‘ula‘ula Park in Waimea, Kaua‘i, under the auspices of the State Parks Division of the Department of Land and Natural Resources of the State of Hawai‘i, is working to develop this sacred burial site as a memorial to the dignity and rich heritage of the native people of Waimea, Kaua‘i for the sake of our local families and future generations.
